15.5” WESTERN SADDLERY (BIG W)
SHOPMADE ROPING SADDLE
SOLD This 15-1/2” Roughout Roping
saddle made by Western Saddlery (Big W) in Lander, WY is in very good condition. I
tried to get a picture of the horn where it shows the Big W with the saddle in front of it but don’t know if it will
show up good enough to be able to see it plainly in the photos as it doesn’t show up too well, but it IS there. The
number on it is # 783. The saddle came from a day worker in Texas last year at
the ranch rodeo in Amarillo.
The only thing that I’ve been able to find wrong (and that is
cosmetic) is that one of the stirrups has some stitching coming undone (see photo).
This does not hinder it from being used at all, and other stitching is good on it.
There are some spots (see photos) caused from being used, nothing bad. I've
cleaned the saddle good with Black Rock and also cleaned the roughout. The saddle
looks good (see note above regarding shadows being worse in the photos).
There has been some new replacements put on recently such as the 2-1/2”
stirrup leathers have been replaced, has new Blevins buckles, new hobbles, and six new strings that go thru the tree put on
it. Entire thing is solid, looks good, and will last you a long time to
come. Saddle is roughout other than the horn, stitched padded seat, cheyenne
roll, stirrups, and trim at the gullet and those areas are smooth leather.

12” AMERICAN MADE CHILD’S SADDLE
SOLD Your lil’ cowboy or cowgirl will
be more than proud to have this one on his/her horse!!! Spring is coming up and it’s going to be “riding time”
so don’t miss this one! The only reason we are selling it is because we’d bought it used for our grandson and
it was too large for him, so had to go with a smaller size.
This darling near new 12” American made child’s pleasure saddle is in excellent condition. We
can’t even tell that it’s been used (has been VERY gently taken care of), but it does have a stain (not sure what
it is, but it’s not sticky or anything like that….just stained a little darker than the oil color of the rest
of the saddle) on the skirt on one side. This is not noticeable while the rider is sitting in the saddle. In time, from the
leather turning darker, this will probably not even be noticeable. It’s not THAT bad and there are NO other problems
at all on this saddle. I might note that the stain does look worse in the pictures, due to our lighting, than it really is.
I’ve cleaned and conditioned the entire thing so it’s all ready to ride. This will fit a horse or a pony. It has
good thick leather, soft and supple, I would call it a medium oil, and has deep spot acorn/oakleaf tooling several places
on the saddle.
Saddle measures 18” from front to back, has 9” swells, 2-3/4 cantle, 5” gullet, a 12”
padded & stitched suede seat, has semi-QH bars, the rigging is single, and it has spot tooled matching tapederos. Also
has four new silver conchos with strings (see pics). This little saddle is NOT a cheap made one that you see sometimes. Has
a lot of life left in it and will last for years to come if taken care of, it’s well worth the price!!! Has good workmanship
& good materials in it. They sell new in the stores for $239.00 but we’ve got it priced at only $150.00 plus
freight & insurance of $30.00 in the lower 48 states.

awesome 14.5” Martha Josey is in GREAT condition and one you’ll be proud to own and ride, run barrels, trail riding,
etc.! As most of you know, these saddles are TOP QUALITY and have that wonderful Josey reputation.
They are costing up into the thousands of dollars new. This one is a REAL DEAL at $550.00
plus a flat fee shipping & insurance of $37.50 for buyers in the lower 48 states. Other
areas would be actual shipping and insurance plus any other countries required charges. It’s GENTLY
used and has been very well taken care of! I’ve cleaned & conditioned it and other than needing
a front cinch, it’s ready to go!
The soft and supple leather is a medium dye, has beautiful deep, deep tooling and nothing
but quality materials and workmanship. The stitched seat is a light rust color, the fenders and jockeys
are roughout (half breed). This saddle has a rawhide covered wooden tree, totally solid, double rigged.
Has QH bars, 7” gullet (mid concho to mid concho). The good rear cinch comes with the saddle,
the barrel stirrups are rawhide covered w/leather lacing & foot rest. The swells measure 12-1/2”,
it has the stainless steel laced Cheyenne roll with a 3-1/2” cantle. There’s a nice deep pocket
to sit down into.
